What to expect with Tuina: It is a medical treatment, and as with all Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities, a brief history is taken for the treatment. Tuina Meridian Massage can be done to a local region or the full body as needed. This treatment involves a variety of techniques including, gentle to firm pressure using palms, thumbs, fingers, and elbows, various stretches, joint mobility, acupressure, gentle vibration and rocking. Tuina can be slightly more vigorous than other forms of massage. As with other body therapies you may leave a little sore but overall in complete bliss and relaxation.
